Recognized Training Provider Designation
Recognized Training Providers are organizations or institutions that have chosen to apply and have successfully completed SkilledTradesBC's Designation Review Process and are permitted to offer specified ITA-approved industry training programs.
The Designation Review Process provides quality assurance that Recognized Training Providers meet SkilledTradesBC's program standard for training facilities, instructor qualifications, curriculum, assessment processes, trade competencies and general operations.
SkilledTradesBC designation is program, level, and location specific.

Step 1: Familiarize yourself with the program

Step 2: Complete and submit the SkilledTradesBC Designated Training Application Form

Please note:
- Designation must be renewed after five years from the date of issue.
- SkilledTradesBC shares the outcomes from the Designation Review Process with the Private Training Institution Branch (PTIB). Private training providers operating in BC may need to comply with all PTIB regulations in order to apply for SkilledTradesBC Designation. Please consult PTIB to see if this applies to your institution.
