Tax Credits

for Apprentices

The Government of Canada provides income tax credits for registered apprentices. Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities may be eligible for additional tax credits.

The three types of training tax credits are:

  • Basic credit for the first two levels of non-Red Seal training programs
  • Completion credit for level 3 or 4 for both Red Seal and non-Red Seal training programs
  • Enhanced credit for Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities

To determine your eligibility and how to claim these credits, see the Training Tax Credits page
