Apply To Be an Approved Training Provider
Application for Designation and the Designation Review Process provide a quality assurance mechanism to ensure that training providers meet SkilledTradesBC's program standards for training facilities, instructor qualifications, course curriculum, assessment processes, trade competencies and general operations.

Skilled Trades Certification
Skilled Trades Certification is now in effect for 7 electrical and mechanical trades. If you are an uncertified worker or employer with uncertified workers in these trades, you will need to meet the requirements. Skilled Trades Certification is now in effect, requiring tradespeople working in 7 electrical and mechanical trades to be registered apprentices or certified journeypersons.

Ty Edwards, a Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, kickstarted his trades career in high school. Growing up on a farm, he always had a passion for working with his hands and found joy in fixing machines that serve critical roles in our economy and communities.
