SkilledTradesBC CEO Shelley Gray is a winner on SiteNews’ inaugural list of Construction’s Most Influential People of 2024. This list recognizes individuals who have effectively made a positive impact on the construction sector.
In her time as CEO, Shelley has been a strong champion for the advancement of the skilled trades, including the construction industry. Under her leadership, we achieved record-breaking numbers of registered apprenticeships in British Columbia last year. This contributes to the growing population of apprentices in our province and helps address the skills gap and need for more workers in the construction industry.
Shelley continues to lead our organization through transformation with the implementation of Skilled Trades Certification and breaking barriers to increase accessible opportunities in trades for equity-deserving people.
This announcement comes shortly after Shelley was named as the runner-up for BCBusiness’ 2024 Women of the Year Awards in the leadership category and one of six winners for Business in Vancouver’s Influential Women in Business Awards back in January of this year.
