Raising the Profile of Skilled Trades – A Snapshot of Skilled Trades Marketing Across B.C.

With persisting skills shortage concerns across the province, recruitment and retention continues to be an important topic of conversation at SkilledTradesBC and among industry, community and training partners. This led us to take a closer look at how skilled trades are being promoted. We conducted a province wide survey and had conversations with our partners to learn more about marketing efforts across the system. We are excited to share with you, Raising the Profile of Skilled Trades – A Snapshot of Skilled Trades Marketing Across B.C. 

The overview provides a sample of the marketing activities at a point in time, capturing the diversity of approaches and strategies to encourage more people to explore skilled trades careers. This snapshot is just the beginning, and we hope it sparks new ideas and inspires more partners to join the collaborative efforts to raise the profile of skilled trades in B.C.
